A Dairy Crane is in reality more like a robot. It operates with millimeter precision when lifting and placing large racks with cheese into chambers for maturement.
Historically done by hand this is now naturally done by a crane that spans a much larger area and weight. And the most cost-efficient solution also, as it can work in full automatic mode.
To achieve the precision needed in an application where insertion must be done in a precise angle, the Dairy Crane uses a scissor yoke mechanism instead of the traditional wire or chain typical cranes use. The possibilities with this approach are endless!

Scissor Yoke
Designed for High Precision to enable the crane to pick, lift and position heavy goods and products that need extra care. The Scissor Yoke can insert heavy objects up to xx tons with millimeter precision into tight grids – like frames, boxes, moulds – and therefore often used in cheese production, but in effect relevant for all that need to span larger areas, higher payloads that robotics cant handle.
