PLC Programming and Upgrades

At Danish Crane Building, we offer advanced solutions in PLC programming (Programmable Logic Controller). Our expertise in this area ensures that our cranes and lifting systems operate with high precision and reliability.

What is PLC Programming?
PLC programming is a central part of modern automation. A PLC is a specialized computer that controls machines and processes. Through programming, we can configure the PLC to perform complex tasks, such as monitoring and controlling movements, handling safety protocols, and optimizing performance.

Advantages of PLC Programming

  • Reliability and stability: PLCs are designed to operate in demanding industrial environments, ensuring continuous operation without interruptions.

  • Flexibility: With PLC programming, we can easily adapt and update systems to meet changing needs and technological advancements.

  • Efficiency: Automation with PLCs reduces manual intervention, increasing productivity and minimizing errors.

Applications
We use PLC programming in a wide range of applications, including:

Industrial cranes: Optimization of lifting and movement control.
Process cranes: Automation of complex processes in biogas plants, district heating plants, and waste incineration plants.
Special solutions: Customizing systems to unique customer requirements.

Upgrade Your Crane Now

Siemens has already phased out several PLCs, panels, and frequency drives, but we can help future-proof your crane system. We work daily to ensure higher uptime, better driving patterns, more options, and a longer lifespan for your equipment.

At DCB, we only use Siemens PLCs, frequency drives, and HMIs to ensure optimal service. All cranes are upgraded to the new TIA Platform, so everything is up-to-date.

Upgrade your PLC easily and efficiently! View and save our brochure here, so you have our contact information at hand.

Why upgrade?

  • Profibus has been replaced by Profinet
Siemens now primarily uses Profinet, so all new equipment is designed for this.

  • HMI Panels also run on Profinet
If your HMI panels with Profibus become defective, it can be expensive to replace them.

  • S7-300 PLCs have been phased out since 2023
They are being upgraded to the TIA S7-1500 series. Now is the time to act to ensure high uptime and low operating costs.

  • DCB continuously updates crane programs
We do this to ensure higher cycle and uptime.

  • Spare parts are increasing in price
Siemens PLCs are being phased out quickly, and lead times for these components have therefore increased drastically. An upgrade can quickly pay for itself by avoiding long downtimes and accidents.
