DCB Supplier of Fully Automated Cranes for Finland’s largest Biogas Plant in Nivala

DCB has been selected as the supplier of fully automated cranes for the new biogas plant Nivalan Biokaasu in Nivala, Finland. The facility will be the largest industrial biogas project in Finland and a key element in the country’s efforts to develop sustainable energy.
The overall construction is being carried out by bioconstruct GmbH as the main contractor, responsible for coordinating the complex process and plant infrastructure. Once completed, the plant is expected to process more than 600,000 tonnes of organic biomass annually and produce over 200 GWh of liquefied biomethane (bio-LNG), contributing significantly to reduced CO₂ emissions and increased energy security in Finland.
DCB will supply specially designed fully automated cranes to support the plant’s material handling with high efficiency and reliability. With more than 40 years of experience in the design, production, and delivery of customized crane solutions for demanding industries worldwide — including the biogas and energy sectors — DCB has built a strong track record in automated cranes for biogas, biomass, and other energy-related facilities. Our solutions are optimized to handle challenging materials and ensure high uptime in demanding operating environments.
